Groupe Hypothèque Plus is committed to protecting the personal information entrusted to it, in accordance with Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25.

1. Information we collect

Through the forms on this site we collect your name, email address, telephone number, preferred language, the service you are interested in, your situation, the approximate amount contemplated, your preferred contact time and the message you send us. As a file progresses, we also collect the financial documents required for a financing application (proof of income, bank statements, mortgage statements, credit information).

2. Why we collect it

This information is used to contact you, assess your eligibility for financing, prepare and submit applications to lenders, meet our legal and regulatory obligations, and keep a record of our exchanges. We do not use it for any other purpose without your consent.

3. Consent

By submitting a form, you consent to our contacting you and using your information for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us, subject to information we are legally required to retain.

4. Who has access

Access is limited to people in our firm who need it to perform their duties. With your authorization, the necessary information is shared with lenders, mortgage insurers, appraisers and the notary handling the transaction. Certain technology providers (hosting, email, forms) process information on our behalf under confidentiality agreements. We never sell your information.

5. Information outside Québec

Some service providers may host information outside Québec. Before any such transfer we carry out the privacy impact assessment required by law and require an adequate level of protection.

6. Retention and destruction

We keep your information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for the periods required by mortgage brokerage regulation, after which it is securely destroyed or anonymized. [SPECIFY THE RETENTION PERIOD THAT APPLIES TO YOUR FIRM.]

7. Security

We apply reasonable safeguards — restricted access, passwords, encrypted transmission, secure filing — to protect information against loss, theft and unauthorized access.

8. Your rights: access, correction, deletion

You may request access to the information we hold about you, its correction if it is inaccurate or incomplete, or its deletion where the law allows. You may also request that we stop disseminating it and withdraw your consent. We respond within 30 days of receiving your written request.

9. Cookies

This site uses only essential cookies by default. Analytics cookies are set only after your explicit consent, which you can change or withdraw at any time through the privacy banner.
